The baby exit process is the last stage of your surrogacy program.
The Baby Exit Process in India begins as soon as the baby born to a surrogate
mother till the time baby has gone to home country. There are some legal
concerns that you have to fulfill for completing the surrogacy process in
India. Here are the steps that you need to follow while taking your baby back
to home. We always make sure to make it a trouble free process and our Legal
Team assists you with all documents, and formalities that you need to complete.
Baby Birth Certificate
One the baby is born,we will send the records of the birth to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) who issues the birth certificate.
We will also assist you with getting an Apostille Sticker on the birth certificate, which is mandatory for foreigners.
The entire process of getting a valid birth certificate for your newborn takes only 2 days from the date of birth of the baby.
DNA testing, sometimes required
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Guidelines, baby born to a surrogate mother should have a genetic link with either one parent. This means it is not possible for a couple to usedonor embryos.
To find the genetic link, DNA testing is sometimes required by the embassies to grant citizenship and passport to the baby.
The whole process usually takes1 to 2 weeks depending on the country embassy.
Getting Citizenship and Passport of Baby
After this, Commissioning Parents need to submit an Application at the respective embassy for a passport and citizenship.
There are a few legal documents besides the birth certificate required from the clinic that we would issue to you.
The process of getting citizenship and passport can take up to one week, depending upon the respective embassy.
FRRO for Exit Visa
Once the passport has been issued, you need to apply for an exit visa with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and then go to Foreign Regional Registration office (FRRO) for an exit clearance.
It usually takes between two to five days to get an exit visa in India.
After this, you are free to take your baby home.
